Kevin Paul is a Coast Salish master carver, artist, drummer, and storyteller. He is a leader in his community and a spiritual and healing support person to caregivers throughout the valley. His life and his art speak of now while he tells us stories of forever. He listens to the cedar, the eagle, the turtle and the crow and translates their stories for us. Kevin reminds us we are strong when we fit into our magnificent world, warns us of the dangers of forgetting to fit in, and invites us to heal. Kevin is a source of inspiration and support for Connie and Chuck.

On June 3, 2000 we held a Blessing Ceremony at Skagit Family Study Center to celebrate the installation of the Totem Pole that Kevin created for us. It is mounted on the slope just beside the doorway to our clinic. Many people came. Kevin and Patricia were presented with a blanket and Kevin sang and drummed. Kevin’s carving tells a story of the child, parent and elder turtles who carry the bear, and the eagle who watches over them.

Among many other public and private commissions, (Please visit Kevin's site) Kevin has completed two major works for the Children’s Museum of Skagit County. The links below will take you to a photographic documentation of each carving.
